Designed for Reuse, Not Waste
The traditional beauty model encourages single-use plastics, overconsumption, and clutter. Most products are thrown out long before they’re fully used, and their packaging ends up in landfills or oceans — often unrecyclable, unlabeled, or made from mixed materials that can’t be separated.
Ruvo is different.
We’ve reimagined everything — not just the makeup, but the container, the delivery, and the end-of-life cycle. Our entire system is designed to be reused, refilled, and returned, minimizing environmental impact at every stage.
The Ruvo Cartridge System: Smart, Clean, Sustainable
Every Ruvo cartridge is built with two key components:
1. Biodegradable Refill Pouch

Each cartridge houses a soft, internal pouch that contains your makeup formula.

These refill pouches are made from plant-based biodegradable film, designed to break down in industrial compost environments.

Once empty, they can be easily removed and composted.
2. Recyclable Outer Shell

The outer cartridge casing is made from durable, aluminum composite, built to last for dozens of refills.

Our cartridges are modular and color-coded for easy use, storage, and return.
Together, these two components allow you to enjoy clean makeup without the clutter, and minimize your environmental impact with every look.
How the Refill Process Works
We’ve made reordering — and reusing — effortless.
Step 1: Track Usage in the App
The Ruvo app monitors how much product is left in each cartridge and notifies you when it's time to reorder. You’ll never run out mid-application again.
Step 2: Choose Refill or Swap
When reordering, you can choose:

Just the refill pouch (to reuse your current cartridge)

A full replacement cartridge (if you prefer a clean swap)
Step 3: Mail Back Used Parts
All refill orders come with a prepaid return envelope. Just pop in your empty cartridge, seal it, and drop it in the mail. We’ll handle the rest — responsibly.
Step 4: We Recycle or Reuse
Returned components are sorted at our sustainability hub. Pouches are composted or processed, and cartridges are sanitized, reassembled, and re-circulated — dramatically reducing new material use.
Return & Recycle Options
We also offer product-level recycling for those ready to upgrade, replace, or responsibly part ways with their Ruvo gear.

Beauty tech products are often discarded without clear disposal options — and we’re here to change that. We’ve established an end-of-life product return program so your Ruvo mask never ends up in a landfill.
